We have been approved as CNS supervisors by the governing board. However, this website and SNC's programs are not affiliated with the Board for Certification of Nutrition Specialists℠ (BCNS℠) or the Certified Nutrition Specialist® (CNS®) credential, or the American Nutrition Association® (ANA®).

We are a separate entity that has been approved to provide support and guidance based on the regulations laid out by the above organizations. We have been practicing for a collaborative 8+ years. We are blending our knowledge in integrative & functional nutrition, coaching, community education, and research. We were once where you are now!

Dr. Linnette M. Johnson

Clinical Nutritionist & Coach is the owner and one of the supervisors at the Sprouting Nutritionist & Coaches Mentorship. She is a board-certified nutrition specialist (CNS), a licensed dietitian nutritionist (LDN), and a national board-certified health and wellness coach (NBC-HWC).

Linnette specializes in mental health ailments from sobriety, depression and anxiety, and eating disorders and is aligned with being weight-inclusive through Intuitive Eating and HAES. She runs a Private Practice called 5 Elements Coaching and started a non-profit (pending approval) Research Development Group. She is a published researcher, works for the State of Maryland in a Mental Health Facility, and is a Student Research Assistant at MUIH while finishing her doctorate in clinical nutrition at the Maryland University of Integrative Health(MUIH).

Linnette is a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Illinois, and Florida. Linnette will be working on North Carolina and North Dakota licensures soon, so CNS interns from those areas are supported, too. She earned her Doctor of Clinical Nutrition, Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition, and Master of Art in Health and Wellness Coaching / Herbalism from Maryland University of Integrative Health.

Linnette is a mother and wife and advocates for body autonomy and being body-positive. She loves cooking and being with her family, enjoys a good book, gardening, traveling, which hasn't been as much as she would have liked (maybe one day it will be more), and being outside when the weather is nice.

Rachel Buechler

MS, CNS, LDN

Rachel is a board-certified nutrition specialist (CNS) and licensed nutritionist (LDN), and has been in practice since 2016.

Rachel specializes in various health conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and HIV. She takes a weight-inclusive, client centered approach to health and wellbeing. She has experience in private practice settings, working within larger healthcare organizations, and has worked with private and community organizations.

Rachel is currently licensed in Maryland. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition and Integrative Health from Maryland University of Integrative Health.

Rachel is an advocate for healthy, sustainable living for all. She enjoys helping people find the foods that help them feel their best, allowing them to focus on what they enjoy most!
